<BODY> Document Body

Definition: <BODY> encloses the section of an HTML document where layout information and context is contained.

BACKGROUND

You can use this element to specify a URI for an image tile to cover the document's background. Specifying this lets you give a group of documents a distinct appearance, Clients may ignore this attribute, which is used for clients that are not able to support style sheets. It may be necessary to adjust the text color to create enough contrast between the foreground and background.

The <BODY> tag contains all of the information which will be displayed in the viewing area of a Web browser. The <BODY> tag is not a required element, however it is good form to include it for proper structure designation.
