Mike Erwin is an independent consultant and programmer who focuses primarily on Internet connectivity, CGI scripting, and large-scale operating systems development. Mike is a founding principal at OuterNet Connection Strategies, an Austin-based Internet Service Provider, who does network consulting for clients world-wide. Mike holds degrees in Computer and Information Science as well as Business Finance, and is currently engaged in managing much of the Internet offerings coming from Apple Computer, Inc.

Mike was a co-author of The Foundation of WWW Programming, as well as for Internet World's 60 Minute Guide to VRML. He also contributed to the CGI programs in HTML for Dummies. In an earlier life, Mike wrote some short science fiction and fantasy works for gaming companies in the mid-1980s.
