Major significance. Items marked with this color are likely to affect correct program function. Be sure to mark these in your copy of the book.

Moderate significance. Items marked with this color generally represent factual errors to which you should pay heed to build a true and correct understanding of the topics at hand.

Minor annoyances. Items marked with this color include obvious typos, formatting errors, or other foibles that are incorrect or inappropriate, but have no real impact on the content.

Each item in the errata database is associated with the versions of the book in which it appears. To determine the print run for a book, please check the back of the page that includes the name of the book, the authors' names, and the SYBEX trademark. On this page you will see the SYBEX Copyright, Credits, and Trademark notice. In the bottom of the right-hand column a series of numbers appears. The right-most number in that series represents the book's print run number. For example, the list "10 9 8 7 6 5" represents the fifth printing of the book in which it appears.

This is the date when the Errata entry was created or last modified, not the print date.

Each entry starts with the page number where the correction starts, followed by additional information to help you locate the text, such as paragraph number, bullet title or heading. Entries are ordered by page number, starting with the contents in the front of the book. If a change is not necessary, we simply provide supplementary information, and we start such material with the word "comment."

On page 66^<1>, Note that the URL at the bottom of the page is addressing ChatServletA by means of an alias which maps ChatServ to the actual com.JSPbook.Chap03.ChatServletA class.
